Etsy Fashion 2015
 by Alice

After so kindly being invited by their team, we headed off to London to the Etsy Fashion 2015 Showcase towards the end of last month. Despite being a big fan of Etsy, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. After all, Etsy is an online marketplace full of such a variety of sellers and such a wide range of product. What greeted us in a quaint space in Soho was a beautifully laid out showroom for us to explore, full of carefully pulled selections of both clothing and accessories from some of Etsy’s finest sellers.

There were equal measures of quality basics and wardrobe staples (Breton striped tops, t-shirt dresses, crisp shirts and blouses, ballet pumps), and more unusual statement pieces (jumpsuits, denim coats, furry clutch bags with faces). Some sellers of note, which I would highly recommend you check out, include: AnnaK (for quirky basic t-shirts, dresses, etc.), Xenablone (for good quality leather backpacks and handbags), Hania Jewellery (for wonderfully simple and elegant jewellery), Joanna Pybus (for novelty handbags with personality), I Love Mona (for classic styles with a twist), and American Deadstock (for sunglasses and other vintage apparel). We were also lucky enough to meet Sarah from Minetta Jewellery, who had some to-die-for personalised jewellery on display.

...

The style and quality of all the pieces were easily comparable to more well-known high-end brands, which many might not expect. The collection displayed was a true representation of the hidden gems that Etsy has to offer and showed that they really have something for everyone, whether you are looking for kooky handmade goods, vintage and secondhand, or brand new styles.

I would personality like to thank Etsy for introducing me to so many of their wonderful sellers that I had never come across before. My bank balance, on the other hand, might not be so convinced. Here is just a handful of our favourite pieces from the day:
