here comes the sun!
 by Lauren

All the intense winter weather really had me missing spring! So, I figured what better way to look forward to the new season than to use fabric with a daisy pattern?  I don’t know about you, but this pattern just makes me happy. Even though I was having a spring moment, you can really use this sunglass case anytime of the year. It's also a tutorial that is super easy to follow and a great project for all level sewers! So, if you are a beginner sewer, this might be the perfect place to start. Get those creative juices flowing and enjoy! Happy sewing!

YOU WILL NEED:
For this project, I used a piece of fabric that was 8 inches by 9 inches, scissors, thread, ribbon, pins, a needle and a safety pin.

ONE
Take your fabric and fold the longer side down by about half an inch towards the inside of the bag. Pin it and sew in place.

TWO
Fold your piece of fabric in half so that the side that you just sewed is at the top (the left side in the picture above) and the wrong side of the fabric is facing out. Pin around the two unsewn sides and sew. Stop beneath the folded edge, leaving an open edge where the ribbon can eventually be threaded.

THREE
Turn your case inside out – we are almost done!

FOUR
Attach the end of your ribbon to a safety pin and thread it through the tube of fabric at the top of your case and then... we're done!
