DIY Reflection Jar
 by victoria

As 2014 is drawing to a close and it’s time to reflect on those memories that have shaped your year. What better way to do this than making your own reflection jar? I made my own this year, and it's really helped me to remember all those good times that may otherwise have been forgotten over time; it’s usually negative memories that stay with you for the longest, and who wants to dwell on those?

TO MAKE YOUR OWN 2015 REFLECTION JAR
YOU WILL NEED:
A mason jar (or any clear glass jar)
Paper
Coloured pens
Ribbon
Decorative beads
PVC glue or a glue gun

Once you've gathered all your supplies, you’re all set to go!

ONE
Write ‘2015 Reflect’ or '2015 Memories" on a piece of paper in cool hand writing, or you could even type it up on computer.

TWO
After cutting out the writing, stick it on the inside of your jar using PVC glue or a glue gun with the writing facing outwards. Make sure that the glue dries clear!

THREE
Have fun with decoration; add beads to the bottom of your jar, add ribbons to the top, and decorate it to fit your personal tastes, and maybe match the decorations to the décor of your room.

FOUR
Lastly, cut out some cute pieces of paper and leave them next to the jar. Every time you have a good memory, write it down, fold it up and place it in the jar. On December 31st 2015, open up your jar and reflect on all your amazing memories from throughout the year!
